Powerful, searingly honest, funny and a little bit naughty
I have spoken at/for:
-
King's College London
-
Northumbria University
-
NBSL
-
Wobbly Williams: fundraisers
-
Parkinson's UK
I have been on numerous radio shows and on This Morning.
If you want a dull, medical approach to Parkinson's then don't book me!
If you want a warm, witty and often wibbly story about what it's like to live with Parkinson's from age 35 then do book me. My life is wonderful and raising awareness is my mission so that one day we find a cure.
But... it hasn't been easy.
It's been shit at times.
I've been destroyed in the media, I've racked up debt, I've felt guilt over my boys, I've been in pain....
But I love and live my life approaching each day with humour, honesty and more than a handful of drugs!
What talks can I offer?
-
Living with Parkinsons as a female / mum / professional
-

You can visit the #ParkieandProud YouTube channel here; please note that I speak from my heart, often in moments of distress and I can (and do swear like a trooper). Should I speak for you at an event I will be on my best behaviour! However please understand that this is my personal channel, totally unedited and raw with me telling it how it is now I've lived with Early Onset Parkinson's Disease for 10 years.
How much do I charge?
Please contact me to discuss rates
I am often happy to talk for no fee, however now I am retired I may often need to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
